Hear Our StoriesA compilation of stories gathered from the homeless community of Manchester, UK. These stories were played for students who recreated the scenes of the recordings to both protect the identities of the storytellers and to project as silhouettes on a tent displayed at an art show. Guests of the art show were invited to sit down in front of the tent and listen to these stories with headphones in order to recreate the personal experience of getting to know these individuals. The goal of our student group was to open the world to see the more human side of this community.

3,188 Miles‘3,188 Miles’ explores the difficulty of living apart from your family while studying abroad. Manchester, England is 3,188 miles from Boston, Massachusetts, which is the biggest city near my home town of North Attleboro. While experiencing homesickness and loneliness, I also am dealing with the sudden death of my brother, Stephen. The pairing of these two situations creates a complex and difficult environment. However, in this film I show how life must continue, no matter the circumstances. Even though I am far away from home, I must explore and experience my new world. I simply need to remember who was lost and the memories they created with me while taking advantage of every opportunity to speak with my family.
